Fictionals is a DC-based Vietnamese multi-instrumentalist/ singer-songwriter, grassroots community organizer, and passionate fighter for community self-determination. Her music bends together bedroom pop, soul, and indie r&b, while weaving in cultural narratives. Fictionals released her debut EP, “Ancestor,” in 2025, a political project commemorating 50 years since the end of the war in Viet Nam, featuring her mentors at the Institute for the Musical Arts and Angela Davis. She is the co-founder of @avietplace.

Mayra Mejia is a fashion and culture writer, founder of PLUSH DMV, body liberation activist and DC native. She has written and contributed to media outlets including NBC News, Refinery29, Shape Magazine, and Washington City Paper. In 2019, Mayra noticed a lack of welcoming spaces and events for plus size people. Passionate about fostering inclusive spaces, she started @plushdmv, a DC-based fat-positive community. Since then, PLUSH DMV has been featured in national publication for its role and expertise in body liberation and inclusion.

Seshat Yonshea-Walker is a writer, multidisciplinary creative and founder of @ashefund and The aSHE XCHNGE. Seshat's plays have been presented by New Perspectives Theater, Detroit Hip Hop Theatre Festival, Capital Fringe Festival and DC Arts Center. Readings have been presented by Studio Theatre, AMT Theatre, Theatre Alliance, Dramatic Question Theatre, Pop Conference NYC, Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and Local Theatre Festival; Two Strikes Theatre Collective, and Anacostia Arts Center. She is a 202/2026 member of Woolly Mammoth’s Playwright group,  a 2026 member of New Perspectives Full Length Lab, 2025 member of New Perspectives Theatre’s Women's Work Short Play Lab, 2025 Workshop Theater Spring Intensive Playwright, two-time AGE Legacy Playwright Grant Finalist, a 2024 June Bingham Playwright Commission Finalist and 2025 DC Commission of the Arts Fellowship Recipient for Playwriting. She earned her BA in Journalism from IUP and an MFA in Design Management from SCAD. She is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America. 

Shani Shih is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersections of public art, arts education, and community organizing. She is proud to ground her public art practice in her background in anti-displacement organizing; her murals are meant to center working class voice and power in landscapes otherwise commandeered by gentrification. Shani is the founder of Save Chinatown Solidarity Network DC and Chinatown Art Studio, and a cofounder of 411 Collective.
