The White House Office of Public Engagement and the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders will host a Filipino American History Month event. The virtual event is open to the public and will feature a panel with Air Force Undersecretary Gina Ortiz Jones, Deputy Assistant to the President Erika Moritsugu, a panel with Filipino American Biden-Harris appointees, a panel with representatives from community organizations, and more, including: CA Attorney General Rob Bonta, Mayor of San Antonio Ron Nirenberg, OPM White House Liaison Jason Tengco, Filipino American National Historical Society National President Emily P. Lawsin, NaFFAA National Chairman Brendan Flores, Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce National Executive Director Brad Baldia, UCLA Center for Health Policy Research - Director Dr. Ninez Ponce, PEPSF Founder & SFSU Ethnic Studies Professor Dr. Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales, SEIU Nevada Executive Director Grace Vergara-Mactal, with music by DJ Les Talusan.
